This past weekend we attended the American Women's Club Independence Day fair and a BBQ at a friend's house. We had smoked beef brisket for the first time since moving to Australia- it was heaven. Of course I didn't take any pictures. However, we did have church friends over for a BBQ on Sunday to celebrate 4th of July- I did take a few pics:
It's nice that they at least sell sparklers year round here...
And today, being the actual Independence Day...we sang Happy Birthday to America! We had cake and even blew out a candle. Good times.
Happy birthday America. As much as we love Australia, we are still Americans at heart and love the good 'ole US of A!
