Gymnastics

Kaiya had a great season this year. Her last meet, the Spring State Championships, was on Friday. Based on your overall score each participant earns a gold, silver, or bronze medal. After having an off day at her last meet (Judges Invitational) where she fell off the beam, tripped over her feet during her floor routine, and messed up her dismount on bars (don't get me wrong- she still did great and got a silver)...well, she was determined to do better this time. And she did. She won her gold medal. Only 2 other girls received a gold medal meaning overall she placed in the top 3 out of 35-40 participants. We sure are proud of her. You'd think she'd get some time to rest now that the season is over. Too bad gymnastics is a year-round sport. She'll be moving up to the next level in a month and continues to train in the meantime!
