Lancelin Sand Dunes

Monday was a public holiday...Foundation Day. So we traveled 1 1/2 hrs north to Lancelin Sand Dunes. It was perfect weather and despite it being a holiday it wasn't crowded at all! We claimed a spot at the top of one of the sand dune hills, put up our beach tent, and let the kids go crazy! It was great having all of that sand to play with...without the added worry of the kids being swept out into the ocean.

The view from the top of our "hill"- our car is the only one around...we had the "hill" to ourselves!

Another view of the sand dunes.

Yet another view from our car, just for added perspective...

Brian and Kaiya sliding down the hill on a boogie board we borrowed from friends.

Mina happily sliding down the hill on her belly.

Although sliding down on the boogie board was great fun, Kaiya loved running and jumping off the hill to see how far she could go.

This is what happens when you go all day w/out indoor plumbing...rolling in the sand makes it pretty obvious, huh?! We just love our Emi.

The girls are already asking when we can go back- so fun!

Wow! What a fun and amazing day. It is gorgeous and fairly close by Perth. Sweet. These are such neat experiences your kids {and family} are having.

Awesome

Great, looks like Kaiya may have inherited some "long jump" abilities.
