Mina is 2.5

Today is Mina's half birthday! Can't believe she's 2 1/2 yrs old now! We celebrated with a "half" day trip to the aquarium and going out for her favorite treat- churros. Then of course we sang "Happy half-birthday" to her- complete w/"half" a cake (leftovers from Kaiya's birthday- convenient eh?) and 2 1/2 candles to blow out.

The girls shouted out "hip hip hooray" 3 times after the birthday song (it's an Aussie thing)...Mina was a little scared by it.

This girl loves her chocolate!

Ahhh, how we love our Mina. She's been dubbed "Mina the Explorer" in her toddler gym class b/c she runs around crazy and does whatever she wants...exploring all of the nooks and crannies of the gym (as opposed to the other obedient toddlers that stay close to their mom's and does what the teacher asks them to do). She has no interest in toilet training although she'll sit on the potty and humor us every once in awhile. She loves going to nursery and asks every single day if we're going to church. She loves Backyardigans, Hi-5, Tangled, and How to Train Your Dragon. She hates getting dressed & brushing her teeth. She excels at saying "please" and "thank you." She also excels at saying "no, I don't want to." I've said it before...everyone should have a Mina in their home, she's just so fun.

PS. I found Mina's blanket in the fridge today next to the lettuce. I don't know why she put it there. But a bit later I observed Mina opening the fridge to retrieve her blanket- then she asked for a slice of cheese and that was that.

Maybe she likes to cuddle up to a nice COLD blanket...

Maybe it's something genetic because Riley takes his toy animals, even his large stuffed bear, and puts them in plastic bags. We then find them in either the play frig or the downstairs frig. He's apparently preserving them until he has more time to properly butcher them.

That way she knows where it is. Nate put his blankies somewhere safe a week ago and we haven't seen them since. At least she knows where they are.
