Sunshine Coast, Part 1

Since we've moved to Perth we've been fortunate to do quite a bit of traveling to S.E. Asia. It's much cheaper to fly international from Perth than it is to fly domestic- weird, eh?! But we finally booked tickets to fly to Brisbane over the Easter holiday.

Instead of staying in Brisbane we drove about an hour north to the Sunshine Coast...Mooloolaba to be exact (great suggestion Kel). Don't you just love that name? Say it...Mooloolaba...it's fun to say. Our rental home was in the perfect location- on the Mooloolaba spit which is a skinny little peninsula just wide enough for one street...you have the ocean on one side and the Mooloolaba River on the other. The first pic is the view of the ocean from our balcony...2nd pic is inside with the kids.

Ever since moving to Perth it's been our goal to see Australia Zoo. We're big Croc Hunter fans and of course our family mascot is the saltwater crocodile. See HERE if you are confused & don't understand what I'm talking about. Anyways, Australia Zoo is definitely worth checking out.

We were really, really lucky that the Irwin family was in town for Easter & participated in the wildlife show. In the beginning they asked if there were any Americans in the crowd...and they waved to us when we cheered. So yeah, we're pretty awesome. We got to watch Teri and Bindy feed the crocodile (Robert's not old enough yet...I'm not either). It was a pretty cool day for the Dibb fam.

I think it's hilarious when Teri yells "crikey!"

And that's it for now...will post more another day.
