Egg hunts aren't the norm here but some friends from church decided to put one together. We met at an egg-cellent park with a manmade waterfall/river. The kids made paper boats to "race" (float) down the river. We also had egg-spoon races (to keep the kids distracted while the eggs are hidden). Unlike the plastic eggs we use, Aussie's just buy chocolate eggs in all different sizes and hide those. Good thing someone brought ice packs to keep the eggs from melting...it was a hot day! Obviously, the girls had mega fun and stuffed their faces full of chocolate.
Emiko pauses from her egg hunting for a quick pic.

I love this pic of Mina- chipmunk cheeks full of chocolate with a death grip on more chocolate eggs...while in a sumo stance.

Your description of Mina's picture makes it all the more fun. I never would have guessed that the egg activities were not tradions in Australia.
